Lescolton IPL Hair Removal Device - Review

I had always been interested in getting laser hair removal but at the same time I was a little bit skeptical because I knew it didn't work for everybody. There was also the factor of money and the uncertainty of how much pain was going to be involved during the process.

I started doing my research on internet about the best at-home laser hair removal devices. Of course that the best ones and top branded are $250 and up. I compared prices, the number of pulses, the intensity levels, the size of the LCD display, and I also looked for the difference between laser and ipl hair removal, as well as if you could replace the cartridge as opposed to having to replace the device.

While looking for devices on Amazon and eBay I ran into this "Lescolton IPL" hair removal device, which was pretty affordable compared to the other devices.

I looked for reviews on the internet but I didn't find much information about this device, and on Youtube most of the reviews were "Unboxing" videos. I do have to mention that some of the reviews I read from people said that "the device had burnt their skin" or that "it was a waste of money because they used it twice and didn't see any difference" or that they just simply didn't understand the manual because it was in a different language. So what I realized is that people really didn't know how to use the device properly.

After doing my research for months, I finally decided to give this Lescolton IPL device a try. I got it from eBay in September 2018, and started using it the very first week of October. You can also get it at Amazon.

This device has 5 intensity levels and comes with 2 lamp heads, a clear yellow for hair removal and a clear red for skin rejuvenation or acne treatment, a pair of sunglasses to protect your eyes, a manual and a plug with three different adapters.

This Lescolton device is suitable for all the parts of your body, even the most sensitive ones. It has 300,000 flashes per lamp and a LCD display of 4.2cm2. It comes with 2 different operation modes, the manual and the automatic mode. It also has an auto shut down system, which means that the device will turn off automatically after 5 minutes of inactivity.

What I liked the most about this machine is that you can actually replace the head lamps instead of having to buy a whole new device. And I have to say that the replacement lamps are really affordable too.

Now, I'm going to explain how to use it, which is pretty simple.

1. SHAVE the area you are going to treat. It is very important to make sure you DON'T LEAVE any unwanted hair, otherwise you might get a burnt sensation. This happens because the machine targets the pigment of your hair follicule, so just make sure the area to be treated is clean and hair free.

2. Make a sensivity test by starting with the lowest level of intensity. Depending on your pain tolerance you can turn it up gradually to the level you feel the most comfortable with.

3. It is recommended to avoid sun exposure within two hours after the treatment, especially if you use it on your face. Also, it is important to wear sunscreen to protect your skin.

4. You can treat the desire area every 4-5 days for better results. The key here is CONSISTENCY. It is better if you write down your treatments schedule so you don't lose the track of it. It took me just about 4 sessions to see a difference on my legs. So trust me when I say that this machine really works. It is honestly one of the best purchases I have ever made.

To use this device on your skin you don't really need any type of Aloe Vera or cooling gel, that's optional. I personally haven't used any product on my skin when using it.

I guess that's it! If you have any questions or doubts just let me know! On my next post I'll be talking and showing you my results so far!! XOXO!💜
