Lescolton IPL Hair Removal Device - Update

It's been almost a year since I started using my Lescolton IPL hair removal device, and all I can say is that the results I have got are simply AMAZING! I honestly couldn't be happier with this machine.

I'm going to cut to the chase because I know some of you have been waiting for me to post an update about my results, so here they are.

This is one week without shaving after six sessions. My six sessions were during the month of October 2018. (October 2nd, 5th, 10th, 17th, 22nd & 27th) (RIGHT LEG)

And this is after two weeks without shaving after the same six sessions.

As you can see in the pictures, my hair stopped growing in most part of my legs, and the hair that grew back was much thinner than it was before. I noticed a difference by the third or fourth session. I could tell that my hair was growing much slower and I started seeing some bald spots as well.

You do have to remember that this is not a permanent solution, so if you stop with your sessions for a long period of time, your hair will grow back eventually. Like I said on my previous post, the key here is CONSISTENCY.

You can start by having sessions of 2-3 times per week during the first month. Then, by the second month you can continue by doing it once or twice per week, and by the third month you may do it once every 15 days or once a month.

Every body is different so keep that in mind. In my case, I started seeing results after three or four sessions using the intensity level four. Some people can take less or more sessions than that to see a difference. It all depends on how you use the device and how consistent you are. It also depends on the intensity level you use. The higher the level, the faster and better the results are.

Even though if you are happy with your results after several sessions, you still need to continue with the "maintenance" treatments. These "maintenance" treatments can be done once every month and a half or so. This will help keep your legs hair free for even a longer time.

That is it for my review!! It's been almost a year since I have been using my Lescolton and I am super happy with my results. I still do my "maintenance" sessions every now and then with the intensity level 5, and I use it on other parts of my body as well.

If you have any questions or doubts, please let me know!! XOXO💜

Lescolton IPL Hair Removal Device - Review

I had always been interested in getting laser hair removal but at the same time I was a little bit skeptical because I knew it didn't work for everybody. There was also the factor of money and the uncertainty of how much pain was going to be involved during the process.

I started doing my research on internet about the best at-home laser hair removal devices. Of course that the best ones and top branded are $250 and up. I compared prices, the number of pulses, the intensity levels, the size of the LCD display, and I also looked for the difference between laser and ipl hair removal, as well as if you could replace the cartridge as opposed to having to replace the device.

While looking for devices on Amazon and eBay I ran into this "Lescolton IPL" hair removal device, which was pretty affordable compared to the other devices.

I looked for reviews on the internet but I didn't find much information about this device, and on Youtube most of the reviews were "Unboxing" videos. I do have to mention that some of the reviews I read from people said that "the device had burnt their skin" or that "it was a waste of money because they used it twice and didn't see any difference" or that they just simply didn't understand the manual because it was in a different language. So what I realized is that people really didn't know how to use the device properly.

After doing my research for months, I finally decided to give this Lescolton IPL device a try. I got it from eBay in September 2018, and started using it the very first week of October. You can also get it at Amazon.

This device has 5 intensity levels and comes with 2 lamp heads, a clear yellow for hair removal and a clear red for skin rejuvenation or acne treatment, a pair of sunglasses to protect your eyes, a manual and a plug with three different adapters.

This Lescolton device is suitable for all the parts of your body, even the most sensitive ones. It has 300,000 flashes per lamp and a LCD display of 4.2cm2. It comes with 2 different operation modes, the manual and the automatic mode. It also has an auto shut down system, which means that the device will turn off automatically after 5 minutes of inactivity.

What I liked the most about this machine is that you can actually replace the head lamps instead of having to buy a whole new device. And I have to say that the replacement lamps are really affordable too.

Now, I'm going to explain how to use it, which is pretty simple.

1. SHAVE the area you are going to treat. It is very important to make sure you DON'T LEAVE any unwanted hair, otherwise you might get a burnt sensation. This happens because the machine targets the pigment of your hair follicule, so just make sure the area to be treated is clean and hair free.

2. Make a sensivity test by starting with the lowest level of intensity. Depending on your pain tolerance you can turn it up gradually to the level you feel the most comfortable with.

3. It is recommended to avoid sun exposure within two hours after the treatment, especially if you use it on your face. Also, it is important to wear sunscreen to protect your skin.

4. You can treat the desire area every 4-5 days for better results. The key here is CONSISTENCY. It is better if you write down your treatments schedule so you don't lose the track of it. It took me just about 4 sessions to see a difference on my legs. So trust me when I say that this machine really works. It is honestly one of the best purchases I have ever made.

To use this device on your skin you don't really need any type of Aloe Vera or cooling gel, that's optional. I personally haven't used any product on my skin when using it.

I guess that's it! If you have any questions or doubts just let me know! On my next post I'll be talking and showing you my results so far!! XOXO!💜

My past experiences with different hair removal methods.

Today, I want to share some of my past experiences with different hair removal methods. To start with, you should know that my legs have always been my main concern. I have black thick hair which grows pretty quickly compared to other people, and while shaving was the easiest and cheapest option, I got tired of having to shave every single day to keep my legs smooth and hair free. If I shaved at night before going to bed, I had to shave again in the morning because I could feel my little hairs growing back again.

So after years and years of shaving, I decided to try waxing. I tried this for a few times and even though I have dense hair it didn't hurt, but I also think that I have a high pain tolerance. I don't remember having any issues with this method like getting ingrown hairs or red bumps, but once again I got tired of having to let my hair grow so I could wax, and having to set appointments at the salon, and well that costs money too. I eventually bought a home waxing kit to save some money, but it was too messy for me.

Then, a friend of mine introduced me to epilators, Braun Silk Epil 5 to be exact. I got this also from eBay for $50-60 dollars and I immediately started using it. I do have to say that this was so painful to use! I got used to it with time but this has been the most painful hair removal method I have ever tried.

I was very pleased and extremely happy with the results at the very beginning. It took about a week and a half to grow my legs hair back. After months of using it, I started noticing some ingrown hairs which I didn't care for them, I just ingnored it. I continued using my epilator and I noticed that my ingrown hairs were increasing so badly. I tried exfoliating my skin before epilating and I even got some serums and treatments to prevent and treat ingrown hairs, but that didn't work at all.

It was really hard for me to see those bumps on my legs which made me start picking on them. Let me tell you that it was THE WORST thing I could have ever done. It just made my legs look even worse. And even so, I continued epilating for a few more months until I finally stopped.

My legs were full of tiny scars. I stopped wearing skirts and shorts for like a year, and if I wanted to wear them I had to put makeup on my legs to try to cover those scars. I started using some creams to treat discoloration and dark spots and it took almost a year for those scars to go away. Ever since, I haven't used my epilator on my legs anymore and I went back to shaving.

On my next post I am going to be talking about the last hair removal method that I tried and that it actually changed my life. XOXO!💜
